01 What happens in a screen acting class at Sydney Screen Acting?
Each week, students work on new material across different genres and perform a simulated audition. Footage is sent to students the next day to review or forward to their agent or casting director.
02 Are there acting classes in Sydney for beginners?
Yes. Sydney Screen Acting's classes are structured for all levels - complete beginners build foundational screen acting skills, while experienced actors sharpen audition-specific technique.
03 What days and times are the classes?
Weekly on-camera classes run Wednesday and Thursday nights, 6:30-9:30 pm, at Studio Pulp in Darlington. You pick one night and stay with it for the term.
04 How big is each class?
Classes are capped at 12 actors so feedback stays personal and everyone works on camera every week.
05 What makes Sydney Screen Acting different from other acting schools in Sydney?
Sydney Screen Acting teaches film and TV only. Every class is filmed, worked through live, and the footage is in your inbox within 24 hours, in a small group capped at 12. It's led by Matt Zeremes, the Emmy®-winning co-creator of Hardball, who has made TV series for the ABC, BBC and Netflix.

06 Who is Matt Zeremes, the acting coach at Sydney Screen Acting?
Matt Zeremes is an International Emmy Award-winning writer, director and showrunner, known for creating and running Hardball (ABC/Netflix) and Spooky Files (ABC/BBC). He personally teaches every class and coaching session at Sydney Screen Acting, and takes great pride in working with all his students and offering honest, practical steps to aspiring actors.

07 Can I try a class before committing to a term?
Yes - your first class is free, no obligation. Sydney Screen Acting runs weekly screen acting classes in Darlington taught personally by Matt Zeremes. Come do a scene on camera, get real feedback, and see if it's for you.
08 How much does the class cost?
Classes are $750 for a 9-week term (one weekly session). We're happy to discuss payment splits - get in touch.
09 How do I book a class, self-tape session, or coaching?

10 Do you teach kids or teenagers?
Classes are for adults (16+) for now - kids and teens are coming soon.
03 — SELF-TAPE
Self-Tape Studio
11 Where can I find a self-tape studio in Sydney?
Sydney Screen Acting has a professional self-tape studio at Studio Pulp in Darlington, Sydney. Plenty of actors tape at home, and that works well if your lighting, sound and background are solid. If you'd rather not sort that out, the studio does it for you, from $75 for 45 minutes.
12 What's included in a self-tape session?
A self-tape session is $75 for 45 minutes and includes 4K video, clear Rode sound, good lighting and direction. We can arrange a reader, or you can bring your own. You leave with polished footage ready to send, whether it's for a TV series, a commercial or a monologue for an agent.
13 How much does a self-tape session cost?
$75 per 45-minute session, direction included on request.
14 How quickly do I get my footage?
Your polished footage is ready when you leave - files are exported and sent before you walk out the door.

Private Coaching
15 Where can I get audition coaching in Sydney?
Sydney Screen Acting offers private one-on-one audition coaching at Studio Pulp in Darlington, Sydney. Sessions are built around your specific audition, self-tape, or career guidance, and cost $150/hr.

16 How much does private acting coaching cost?
Private coaching is $150/hr. Sessions are tailored to individual goals - audition prep, self-tape support, and portfolio building.
17 Is coaching different from the weekly class?
Yes. Coaching is 1-on-1 and built around your specific audition or goal. We can also talk through your approach to getting an agent — again, no promises, just an honest plan. The weekly class is group-based, ongoing, and term-structured.
18 What happens in Audition Coaching?
A session covers script breakdown, camera technique and choice-making under pressure, plus honest, practical feedback to give you the best chance of booking the role. There are no promises, just hard work and shared insight.

19 Where is Sydney Screen Acting, and is there parking?
Sydney Screen Acting is at
Studio Pulp, 60-66 Vine St, Darlington NSW 2008,
close to the CBD, the Inner West and the Eastern Suburbs. Street parking is available nearby, so check the signs for restrictions. The nearest station is Redfern, about an 8-minute walk.
